Narrated Abu Musa:
The Prophet said, "The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits). The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah's religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophets and learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah's guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)"

Asalaam Alaikum,

I don't know how to say thanks to Dr Farath Hashmi. She changed my life, Alhudullah now I know how to teach my 3 girls how to live this life with help of Quran and Sunnah. Now I can show them the stright path; before taking this class I was lost. I had no idea what to teach them because I had little knowledge of Islam. I turned to Allah only when I was in need or worried about something. I didn't know the importance of Allah's Call. I took everything for granted. Ammi used to tell me about sharam and haya but it didn't sink into my heart. I didn't know the meaning of Taqwa. I always said that I loved Allah but I never put the effort in to get to know Him. I never thanked him for what He gave me. I never experienced this emotion of powerful feelings that make me cry and smile at the same time. I always think that what if I didn't know about this, what would happened to me, where would I go in the Akhira? I would like to thank Dr. Farath Hashmi for giving me this oppertunity to get closer to my Creator and for helping me come back to the siratul mustaqim.

Waalaikum Salaam
