At-Taghabun

"No kind of calamity can occur, except by the leave of Allah: and if any one believes in Allah, (Allah) guides his heart (aright): for Allah knows all things." (At-Taghabun: 11)

Izan
Everything happens with Allah’s izan (permission), any good that reaches us or anything that hurts us...Allah knows what we go through. So what’s there to worry about...if no one knows how we feel...if no one knows how happy or hurt we are...so what...Allah knows...He is our best friend...who will always be there when our best friends turn away...when your parents are far away...Allah’s there. And He loves us so much that He says that if you believe in Allah, Allah will guide your heart to the right way. What more do we want....this is the height of satisfaction. This is what made the sahabas encounter every difficulty with so much ease. They had Iman. And Allah promises us the same thing...if we really have faith. If we really believe...He will guide us to the right path...and the right path is when you are completely satisfied internally. No fear, no sorrow...except for the Akhirah.

Every hardship teaches us something. We never thank Allah for that. We always complain. We think it is just a problem on us...but if we really see how much there is to learn from it. We will be very thankful. I would like to quote Khalil Jibrans saying "that I learnt silence form the talkative, patience from the intolerant, yet strange, I am unthankful to these teachers." experiences with different people we learn different things from them, be it good or bad. We usually thank them for the good things they have taught us, but we forget...if we learn patience from them or sincerity, we forget to thank them for that. It is so important to see the positive side of everything. If we really focus on the good aspect then we will have a very easy life. The worst things will seem good to us. May Allah give us the courage to look at the positive side of everything. Ameen

THE MOMENT DEFINES YOU
The moment defines you. When things don’t go the way you planned, someone hurts you or you receive unexpected news. That’s when who you are really manifests itself- your true self bursts to the surface. These are the times when Allah watches with an ever keener eye. These are the defining moments of your life.

"O ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (At-Taghabun: 14)

Family Life
Since a good family life is very important, each family being is a building block in society; Allah (SWT) gives us tips to help improve our family life. In Surah At-Taghabun Verse 14 Allah(SWT) reminds us to pardon, overlook, and forgive(Ta-foo, tasfahoo, tagfiroo). I really appreciate the beauty of each word used in the Quran when Ustaza explains the deeper meanings. In this verse: 1) Ta-foo means to Pardon- to not take revenge - to not punish 2) Tasfahoo-To Overlook- to overlook in a way that the other person doesn't even realize they made a mistake. 3) Tagfiroo- To Forgive- to cover the others mistake, to hide it - to not tell others about it. Easier said than done? True, but not impossible. We have the example of the Sahaba, human beings just like us! Imagine if we practiced this towards each others faults, how peaceful each home would be. How we could use our energy for positive, useful things instead of wasting it in the negative. We would then be able to use each family, each building block to create a progressive society and InshaAllah work towards pleasing Allah (SWT). May Allah (SWT) help us put what we learn, into practice. Ameen

"Your riches and your children may be but a trial: but in the Presence of Allah, is the highest, Reward." (At-Taghabun:15)

Family and Wealth
The two blessings, if used for Allah will lead us to success. However, if we get so much involved in them that we forget Allah and fail to observe obligation, or strive only for them and not for deen than we will be the losers.
